Award-winning writer Michelle Walshe joins MOTH News to share the harrowing story of her mother Ann’s treatment at Belmont House Nursing Home — one of the 27 Irish facilities run by French private care giant Emeis, recently investigated by RTÉ’s Prime Time. Michelle recounts how her mother, a dementia patient, was left for 48 hours in vomit and diarrhoea-stained sheets, and how attempts to raise concerns were met with silence or deflection.
